ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION
The West Town Chamber of Commerce is a 501(c)6 non-profit organization with hundreds of small business members. The Chamber’s mission is to foster community and economic development by empowering businesses with information and technical resources, creating connections, and providing neighborhood-wide marketing and other valuable programming.
EFFORTS
SIX4 Creative was retained to lead public relations outreach to highlight the efforts of the West Town Chamber of Commerce, while adding value to their members by publicizing the diverse talents of the multifaceted individuals and businesses in the community. We work closely with the organization to develop strategic messaging in support of their long term goals, and maximize the promotion of monthly and annual neighborhood events, collaborations and festivals. We create opportunities for media coverage that focus on West Town as a destination, and collect and develop programming that celebrates the vibrancy and diversity of the community to increase membership and tourism to the neighborhood.
RESULTS
Since beginning our partnership, SIX4 Creative has generated numerous mentions resulting in over 280 million media impressions in support of the West Town Chamber of Commerce and its members. Our outreach has garnered placements for a variety of local grand openings via outlets like Block Club Chicago (“Refill Your Shampoo Bottles And Bulk Food Jars At New Zero-Waste Shop In Humboldt Park”), WGN TV (“West Town Bar and Bottle Shop Offers Non-Alcoholic Beers, Wines and Cocktails”) and Eater Chicago (“Italian Stalwart Oggi Trattoria Reveals Its New Home in West Town” + “Inside Lemon, West Town's new cocktail bar”). Additionally, in an effort to promote an array of Chamber-produced events including West Fest Chicago, Do Division Street Fest, West Town Art Walk and others, SIX4 Creative secured extensive coverage via Time Out Chicago (“The best festivals in Chicago”), USA Today (“Check out these legends playing Chicago's hottest music festivals this summer”), The Infatuation (“The Ultimate Chicago Summer Festival Guide”), WTTW Chicago (“17 Chicago Food Events to Feast On in August”) and others, leading to record attendance at all Chamber-produced events and festivals. Further, our storytelling has resulted in a variety of coverage for the Chamber itself, helping to cement new messaging and highlight the programs they spearhead. Results of that strategic outreach include bringing attention to the West Town Pop Up Project (“West Town Chamber Expands Pop-Up Program To Lease Rent-Free Stores To Small Businesses”), West Town First Fridays (“The best things to do in Chicago this weekend”), and the Chamber’s Member Exhibition Space located at their headquarters (“West Town Chamber Kicks Off Exhibition Honoring Women’s History this Friday”). We continue to work with the West Town Chamber of Commerce to capture festival content, share unique programming, and develop outreach strategies that align with their mission and positively impact the goals of their leadership and the members they serve.
